As a result of our strategic positioning in the markets we serve we continue to see growth through our business. To facilitate this ongoing growth we are currently looking for a civil engineer.
 
bulletB.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution preferred or equivalent.
bullet Professional Engineer license and five years experience required is a Professional society affiliation.
bullet Experience required in planning, funding, design, project & construction management of federal/state and municipal civil projects in water & wastewater pumping, treatment plant design, hydraulics, hydrology, water/sewer pipeline design.
bulletSkills in management, leadership, the ability to manage projects and develop business with both current and new clients, team building & marketing a plus.
bulletExcellent written, verbal communication & presentation skills. With the ability to interact with not only team members but also all levels of the organization and external organizations.
bulletMust take charge of projects and follow through independently to completion.

Previous experience working with large municipalities is a plus.

Job Description

This position involves the inspection and observation of civil and environmental services including transportation systems, roadways, highways, traffic control systems, water supply, distribution, and transmission, waste water collection and treatment, landfills, airport runways, and recreational facitilies. Candidates for this position will be responsible for observing, inspecting, and documenting construction activities and will be under the supervision of the Project Engineer/Manager. The candidate will assist the Project Engineer/Manager as needed to ensure that the project is built in accordance with project plans and specifications under which the contract was awarded. The candidate shall have experience with roadway construction inspection.

Basic Qualifications

bulletFive (5) years experience in construction inspections.

Preferred Skills One or more of the following certifications:

bulletCertified Asphalt Roadway Technician
bulletWork Zone Safety Certification
bulletCertified Concrete Technician (ACI and ODOT Certifications)
bulletQualified Credential Inspector (QCI)
bullet Experience with ODOT roadway projects a plus.
